Christmas 2008

Rob and Aidan go to Indy!

Rob and Aidan went to the Colts game in Indianapolis. They took a flight out on Saturday and went to the game on Sunday. Luckily, the hotel was withing walking distance to the stadium. The Colts won, so that made the trip even better.

Tessa played volleyball for the first time this year. She had a great season and thinks she will play again next year. I never realized how fun it is to watch a game of volleyball. Go AHS!

For the past 3 years we have gone to the American Idol Concert. They are always so much fun. It is cool to see the singers from the show, even though it is a tad bit corny. Tessa loved this season, especially for the Davids!

Lori's Trip to Atlanta

In July I was able to attend the AVID National Conference with some of the teachers from the county. I always find those conferences refreshing and exciting. I come back ready for the next year with lots of new ideas. The picture on the left is most of the teachers from AACo walking to the Coca-Cola Museum (obviously not part of the conference). The picture on the right is of the teachers from Severna Park Middle and High. We had a great time.

Summer Vacation

We went on a 10 day trip to Massachusetts. The four of us started out in Cape Cod. While there we watched a Cape Cod Baseball League game and went to the Baseball museum which is located in the JFK museum. I think Aidan preferred the baseball part of it though. I would love to return to Cape Cod with just Rob to take in some of the sites and shops. Following our stay in Cape Cod, we traveled to the far west of the state to the Berkshires. There we met up with my mom and her family. The resort had some really cool outdoor adventure areas. We also checked out the museum in the neighboring town. Rob and I went ventured out and went to the nearby Elks Lodge where we were treated to a history of just about everything you could ever want to know about the city.

Aidan Baseball

Aidan had another busy couple of seasons of
baseball. He played all seasons and is improving so much as a baseball player and athlete. His team won a local tournament the summer of '08 and is headed to Myrtle Beach this summer for a more competitive one. The whole family is going and we are looking forward to supporting his team.

Eastport a Rockin' is a fun day full of music, friends, and good eats. The past few years we have been on vacation the day of the event, but this year we were actually home!

Aidan's Promotion from 5th Grade

Aidan's fifth grade class had a party at a local beach the night before the promotion. The night was perfect for some early summer swimming in the bay. The following day, the students put on a great show for the parents. We have many great memories of West Annapolis Elementary School. The picture on the right is of Aidan and some of the guys from his class. It is hard to believe how quickly they grow.

New Year's Eve of 2008

2008 was a year of busy schedules and fun adventures. I thought I couldn't get started without a summary of some of the highlights. We started the new year right with a New Year's Eve party with the family and the Moore's. The highlight of the party was Meg and Matt's new little one Lily!

First Post

January 25, 2009

I thought it was about time to catch up with the times. So many people that I love are out of the Annapolis area and I love watching their children grow through the use of their blog. Even though mine are a little older and they don't grow quite as quickly, I thought it might be time to share.
I hope to use this blog as a way to keep everyone up to date on Tessa's sports and plays and Aidan's growth as an athlete. This seems like the perfect way to create a long term memory of our lives as a family!
